Yesterday (I think it was yesterday) I didn’t get much done, about 2 hours I think. Today I got anywhere from 12-14 hours. I’m going to say 12 though because I don’t know exactly how much I did.
The only reason why is because quite simply, I want this thing for droidarena to be done. And it’s nowhere near done. I may keep this up over the next few weeks, or I may decide to change back to my regular schedule on monday, i haven’t decided yet. Still not counting it as a 9-5er because the point of it, was to get stuff done and when i was off, i was off. But this contract seems to have taken forever, and I want to spiffy it up and get it done right so the person after me can maintain it easier.
So my totals for the past couple of days are 14 hours for a total of ::drumroll:: 55 hours whoo!
::clap, clap::
55/1000 — not to bad eh, at least I passed the 1 work week mark (40 hour work weeks)
Keith
7 hours, for a total of 41/1000
I’ve decided not to count 7+ hours as part of the 9-5 experiment. I can’t seem to do it, however i’ll continue trying. Only when I specifically try to work within my alotted time will I coun’t the 9-5 experiment day. I just figured I shouldn’t post every time i reach 7 hours because it was more like happenstance than any concious effort . So I will wait to report on the experiment then, but still report my total hours here.

Got a full 9 hours in. Worked a little overtime, although I expect not as much time will be had tommorow.
Keith
9 hours, for a total of 34/100
Right on!

Okay so I cheated, sort of. Well not really you see, on last Friday my landlord was coming over to fix some more stuff in my apartment. (Well I know that you don’t normally see a landlord do this, but actually The landlord and his wife the landlady both run the place, he does like maintainance and stuff and she does like paperwork and what not, and I think their duties overlap a bit at times).
Anyways, I just wanted to get through some code for DroidArena, so I started on it, as soon as I was, i was into it, hours started getting later and later, and soon I was afraid i’d be in the shower when they came over to fix stuff. So instead I stayed on and worked the old day from like 7-5. That’s about 10 hours, but with a little break and lunch and stuff here and there and a few minutes shy of 5 o’clock, i only counted 9 hours for it.
Thus you have day 15 on friday the 10th. I’m going to attempt to start day 16 tommorow, only a little different, as explained in the thousander club update (post just previous to this one). I’ve still got housecleaning to do. But I still have computer programming to do. So i’ll program for 4 hours during the day. i’ll catch on 3 hours from 9pm till midnight, and count that as a full 8 hour day.
To make sure you understand how i’m doing that remember when I said an 8 hour day is like work, you have a couple of breaks (at least on some union jobs) and a 30 minute lunch (some places it’s an hour, some places it’s shorter, 30 seems common to me, and a good number as I don’t have to rush to eat, and I don’t have gobs and gobs of time). Anyway a good regular day job of 9-5 is usually about 7 hours of actual work time. Thus if I do 7 hours or more, i’m in the clear.

3 more hours for a total of 25/1000
Not too bad eh?
I may not get back to my 9-5 experiment this week. I’m still cleaning house essentially. However this week i’ll split it with work. about 4 hours of work during the day and 3 hours of house cleaning related stuff. Then at night i’ll try to get in another 3 hours. Which I guess will do for a full 7 hours, and thus possibily may be counted toward the 9-5 experiment. Remember the 9-5 experiment includes lunch for 30 minutes and two 15 minute breaks, which amounts to an hour, so that’s 7 hours of actual work done to be included. Point being that I intentially make for doing a full day. If I do get exactly that amount of hours done or more then i’ll count it. I could have counted like friday I believe, because I did work all day. In fact you know what, to make things even, I will. I did actually work like 9 hours that day i think. (Straight through, long story).
so that’s 25/100
Keith
welp let’s add 9 hours to those 13 that I did yesterday (Friday) for a total of, 22 hours out of 100
22/100 hours to date.

Welp I did find some time yesterday so I did get 2 hours of quality time in. I reconfigured the story a bit and this is what I came up with:
Take a magical vacation. Slay a dragon, rescue a princess, become a great and powerful wizard, or stay at one of our many fine magical hotels. All is in the realm of possibility.
At least that’s what the brochure says. Enchanted Lands, the magical resort kingdom is in ruins. The King has mysteriously disappeared. Enchanted Lands Magical Holdings has gone belly up. Administration has been closing up the various magical training schools, and a dark presence has returned from banished realms. Is there no one that can solve these mysteries? Will the schools ever re-open? Will there ever be anymore stupendous vacation deals? Stay Tuned!
Okay so that’s not all I have for 2 hours of work. Actually it was more like 1 hour and 20 minutes, but I hate having to go by minutes, much easier to do by hours. So I fudged the last 40 minutes and came up with some things that are going into the game.
I don’t think I should keep this too long, so i’ll continue the story at a later date, and give you the breakdown (maybe tommorow maybe Monday!).
